“I’ve painted and created art all my life—It’s a lifestyle for me. I appreciate creativity and skill in all its forms. Since college my concentration has been on representational art—mostly landscapes started outside and finished in the studio. In 2010 I took some classes that ignited a passion for Plein Air painting that dominates my work today. My interests in the local landscape, history and architecture are reflected in my work. The ability to express the light and mood of an instant and capture a view of almost anything is my goal. With Plein Air there is a reverence for nature and rural beauty but also modern life. The best examples celebrate the often overlooked around us. It’s as they say—a way of seeing.”
